Knowledge I’ve mentioned before, talent is something we are born with. It is something that is improved with practice, over time, but talent cannot be learned. Two examples of what I had included were professional athletes and professional singers. Knowledge, however, is entirely different. Knowledge is acquired from anything that we register in our minds as experience and try as hard as we can to remember it at a later date. Cognitive development is the construction of thought processes, including remembering, problem solving, and decision-making, from childhood through adolescence to adulthood (Wells, 2011). There are many factors that play vital roles in how we learn, some of which are intelligence, reasoning and memory. There are different theories as to how children learn. Some believe that babies are born with the ability to pay attention, sort information and develop perception.
